Wine Tasting and Birthdays

Steve and Ricky bid on a wine tasting at the CASA Sweetheart Dinner and Dance. We provided the place and Ricky and Rumi provided cheese and fruit. Connie and Phil brought his homemade salsa, it was really good. He has promised that he will bring us some when he makes it this summer. We had […]

Harvesting Grapes

We had heard a lot about Holy-Field Winery but had never been there even though it is located in South Leavenworth County, only 15 minutes from our house. Dee, our neighbor, has been there many times and has picked grapes for several years. This is such a popular activity that we had to sign up […]

A Tiny Seat

Mark decided to try out the kid chair. It was funny watching him getting into it, but he made it without any problems. It did stick to him when he stood up. Afterwards, Mark was in deep thought has he drank his margarita.

Dinner

Cute & Festive

Bully Hill Winery, located overlooking the Keuka Lake, was a fun place from the time we walked in until we left. The venue was cute and festively decorated. In 1970 Walter Taylor with his father, Greyton H. Taylor, founded Bully Hill. It produces 200,000 cases of wine a year and has over 150,000 visitors a […]

An American Cool Town

We drove around the village square in the heart of the Hammondsport, voted one of America’s Coolest Small Towns in 2012, looking for a place to have dinner. Among the old and classic buildings we found The Union Block Italian Bistro. It was very busy so we checked out the surrounding stores to pass the […]

Slushies

Passion Feet Wine Barn is a playful winery is for the hopeless romantic.  Aside from the refreshingly delicious wines and the famous Wine Slushies served in this tasting room, there were endless amounts of gifts and trinkets to buy.

A Touch of WWII

War Horse Brewing Co. was all decked out with WWII memorabilia and music. The walls are adorned with prints and photos honoring those who have served and fought for our freedom. The tasting here included the Red Apple Bombshell Raspberry Hard Cider, Orange Cream Soda (think melted creamsicle) and Root Beer.

A Rundown Shack

Bagg Dare Wine Company is possibly the most photographed winery on the Estate and was the most fun. The building sits at the back of the property, is made to look like a rundown shack on a bayou, accessible by an old dirt walking path.  Rusted out trucks and gas pumps are some of the decor we […]
