Today we were out and about. It was a beautiful day with the sun shining, a light breeze and we had a little time to roam. We went into Mount Muncie Cemetery which was started in 1866. This cemetery is tucked into a hillside along the Lansing/Leavenworth boarder and the Leavenworth National Cemetery can be seen from this cemetery. The cemetery is home to 25 different kinds of trees, which makes it a wonderful place to do a little leaf peeping. These are a few of the pictures we took doing our visit. They do not do justice to the fantastic colors or the number of trees.
