We had dinner in the Versailles Dining Room our first night. The food was good but the service was very slow. We order dessert, except for Dee. When the desserts arrived Dee had a plate with the word “Nothing’ written in chocolate. In looking around, others who had not ordered also had the same plate. we had a good laugh. Save Save
Steve and Suzy celebrated their first cruise together while Dee and Rick found the Entourage but were ask to leave – they didn’t meet the age requirement of 13-17. Later Suzy found the Video Zone, the arcade on board, with lots of games costing from $1 to $2. We had to do the mandatory muster drill, our station was in the Aqua Dining Room. Rick was having a little fun with his cap and acting silly. We got into our cabins, unpacked and enjoyed the sun on the helicopter pad. Also met a nice couple celebrating their 50th anniversary. We took the elevator up to deck 8 to O’Sheehan’s Bar & Grill This has become our favorite place to eat soon after we board the ship. We find there are fewer people here because they have not discovered it yet. The tiered seating overlooks the atrium while surrounding a small central bar, with windows overlooking the ocean and lots of heavy wooden tables, chairs and leather booths. It serves the typical assortment of comfort food: mac ‘n’ cheese, burgers, chicken pot pie, fries and nachos. It is open 24 hours a day. We had the Ultimate Beverage Package as our upgrade for this cruise. The package included a variety of spirits, cocktails, wines by the glass and bottled or draft beer up to and including $15 and unlimited fountain soda and juices at all bars, lounges and restaurants. So we enjoyed a nice lunch and drinks. Save Save Save …

The cards are scanned at various points throughout the ship, such as entry into our cabin, purchases made on the ship, shows on the ship, and to identify the passengers as we exit the ship and returned to the ship at ports. The card has the name of the cruise company, of the ship, dates of voyage, name of passenger, and Muster station. Once all the registration was done, it was a very short time before we were working our way up to the check-in point on the ship. Along the way the staff had staged beach chairs with beach towels and drinks. As we stepped into the atrium we found Rick and Suzy …
