After two successful seasons in Lancaster, PA, Sight & Sound moved Joseph to their Branson, MO stage. A couple of year ago we saw Noah at the Branson theatre and did the behind the scenes tour. We enjoyed it so much that we wanted to see their new production of Joseph. This was our “ticket” to Behind the Scenes Tour. It is amazing to be on stage with the HUGE props, to see the many stage markings and how they store the pieces of the scenes. Two actors lead the tour and gave us insights on what it is like to work at Sight and Sound. The stage area is the size of Noah’s Arc and has all of the latest lighting and sound equipment. This describes how the sets are built and gives information on how large they are. If you are interested in seeing more about our …
Our favorite place to eat in Branson is Andy Williams Moon River Grill. We enjoy the live music in the dining room but also enjoy the atrium. No matter what part of the grill we eat in the food is always outstanding! A ground hog on the outdoor patio was enjoying rolls as his dinner. This is a list of Andy’s private art collection which is located in the Grill and a map of the art location.A little trivia about Andy Williams, the answers are at the bottom page. How many can you answer?
Sons of the Pioneers perform during the normal Branson, Missouri season at historic Shepherd of the Hills homestead. A chuckwagon supper is served prior to each two hour show. It was an extraordinary meal of tender beef brisket, a roasted chicken quarter, a whole roasted ear of corn, dinner rolls, roasted potatoes and apple cobbler For over 75 years the Sons of the Pioneers have been proud to perform the music of the American West celebrating the West, its awesome landscape, its people, its culture and the American Cowboy. Certainly, many of the songs they originally introduced and which have been their signature, such as Tumbling Tumbleweed, Cool Water and Ghost Riders in the Sky, have become forever entwined into the very fabric of the West. They embrace that heritage and strive to honor it. “Country western” artists may sing about pickup trucks or their girlfriends. Their songs are unabashed …
We found a Groupon for a three night stay at Stormy Point Village. It is located in Branson near beautiful Table Rock Lake. Stormy Point Village is a gated community styled after a timeless Cape Cod fishing village. The Guard at the gate was very nice and friendly. This was the police car just outside of the entrance with a “prisoner” sitting in the back seat. This police car was down the road after entering the community. We continued down the road to Cape Cod Drive and made a left at the stop sign.We crossed over the covered bridge and continued on the club house with the light house. We got signed in, had a nice chat with three people at the desk and was off to find our cottage. This was our home for four days and three nights. We thought it was very cute. This is the living room with a porch with …

We went to Branson and saw Noah at the Sight & Sound Theatre. The theatre has a massive stage with set pieces being rotated with some of the pieces over 40 feet in height. The use of 3D video imaging enhancements, pyrotechnics and laser lighting special effects put you directly in the middle of the story. We were seated middle of the theatre. This was a perfect location so we could take in the entire “ark” as it covered 180 degrees of the theatre. This is the lion and lamb outside of the theatre. It is such a grand theatre and the production is also grand. We did the Behind the Scenes Sight and Sound Tour. It was an up close look at props, technology and tour of how the show’s production is done. We also visited the live animals, seeing their home when they are not on stage. This …
