The week started off with a Christmas program at Sam’s school. This first picture was taken at the first concert of the year. This concert was the 7th grade band, 8th grade strings and the choir. Each performed three songs and all did the final song. All were wonderful but we thought Sam’s did the best!! This is the whole band. The school has a great music program. On Friday we attended Sam’s competitive showcase. This is the dance group she travels with and is in addition to her regular dance classes. Can you find her in this group? A very talented group of kids, who put in a lot of work to make their performance perfect. Their production number was outstanding, hoping they win a lot of awards this year! Cyndi wore a gothic, vampy with her red mane, black leather peplum corset, and leather trousers. The two-time Grammy winner also donned a dramatic leopard-print trimmed coat for her performance.
Dress to Kill Tour is the eighth solo concert tour by Cher. Launched in support of her twenty-fifth studio album, Closer to the Truth. The show began with Cher atop a pedestal in a glittering gown and feathered headdress singing “Woman’s World” off her recent album Closer to the Truth surrounded by dancers and backing vocalists. Like the show we saw in Vegas in 2009, was a mass of sights and sounds. Almost every song had its own set theme. A gladiator-themed performance of “Strong Enough” followed the feminist anthem just before a brief monologue where the singer converses with the audience. Performances of “Dressed to Kill,” where she twirled on a chandelier, and “The Beat Goes On” came next, followed by a poignant duet of “I Got You Babe” with footage of her late-husband Sonny Bono appearing on the video screens behind her.
