Once on board we made our way to O’Sheehan’s (named after NCL boss Kevin O’Sheehan) to have lunch and to start our 12 days of unlimited drinks. This restaurant served comfort food and had a relaxing atmosphere. We started off with appetizers of chicken wings, fried mozzarella sticks and warm spinach & artichoke dip. Then on to the main course of chicken pot pie, burgers and hot dogs. We finished off with desserts. As we worked our way through the food we also worked our way through the drink menu. As part of our cruise package we got a free Ultimate Beverage Package. This package included any mixed drinks, draft and bottled beers and glasses of wine up to $15 and unlimited fountain soda and juices. It was great!! No slips to sign, melted frozen drinks were replaced by a new one and we tried many different types of drinks that we would not have bought otherwise. O’Sheehan’s was a very popular venue for us for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
This is a Passionate Kiss, which was very good but we moved on to a Mango Meltdowns and a Bushwackers. I finally settled on the BBC and Mudslides as my favorites. This was the cheesecake, it was very good.
On deck 8, we found an outdoor promenade called the Waterfront, a wrap-around walkway with lots of lounge seating. As we sailed down the Hudson River and out to the open sea we enjoyed more of our drink package. All during the cruise we escaped to the Waterfront from ship activities and other passengers.
