Tree 2014

I got a new camera for Christmas and was playing around with the different settings. I took close up pictures of our Christmas tree.

Wreaths Across America

Tens of thousands of volunteers with the Wreaths Across America placed more than 700,00 wreaths on veterans’ headstones on December 13th. The North East Kansas Chapter of American Gold Star Mothers honored our Veterans at the Leavenworth National cemetery by placing the Christmas Wreaths. We drove through the Leavenworth National Cemetery today. Only one section […]

Let It Snow!

Oh the weather outside is frightful, But the fire is so delightful, And since we’ve no place to go, Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! We got our first snow of the winter last night. It was only about an inch but it made everything pretty. Steve shoveled the driveway instead of […]

Itsy Bitsy Spider

We were leaving Holan’s house after getting everything moved out and cleaned. It was the last time we would be there before the closing. She always had spider webs on the light by the garage. Sometimes there were small frogs clinging to the siding next to the light for warmth. This was the hard work […]

While out shopping for new furniture with Holan for her new apartment, we were going back and forth between Ikea and Nebraska Furniture Mart. We were meeting Holan at Ikea, to do a second look at the living room furniture. As we came up the escalator we noticed a man asleep on the couch. We […]
