Our first meal on the ship was at Johnny Rockets. The theme of Johnny Rockets is that of the diner-style restaurant that was common in the 1950s. Decor included Coca-Cola advertising featuring nearly life-size cardboard illustrations of women in World War II armed services uniforms, individual jukebox stations at the tables, chrome accents and red vinyl seats.
We ordered hot dogs and they kept the French-fries and onion rings coming as long as we would eat them.
Making a smiley face with ketchup on the paper plate when served French fries is a Johnny Rockets trademark.
The staff are known to sing and dance every half-hour. We were entertained twice while we were there.
This fellow was outside of Johnny Rockets, we joked that he could be Holan’s new boyfriend.
